Bel Orme is a Vocational and Technical School
located in Central Bordeaux, South West of France.

LTP Bel Orme

The School has about eight hundred students and ninety teachers. The headmaster is Mr Wellhoff assisted by three heads of studies.

There are three main subject areas: Biology - Health and Care - Business and Administration.

The vocational school consists of 389 students altogether. The students who take part in the Leonardo project are from the vocational school and are 18 to 19 years old. They study Sales or Administration. They have a three-year course before taking their BTEC. The French educational system allows them to alternate study at school and work placement in various companies.
The school has developed three main priorities:

• The European Identity
• Close links with local companies
• Widening of cultural horizons

The school is involved in many European projects : Léonardo, Comenius, Erasmus and we also arrange many trips and cultural visits abroad.

LEONARDO MOBILITY EUROPEAN PROJECT

The school policy focuses on making our students aware of European opportunities:

Since 2004 our school has started what we call a “European class” on a voluntary basis -two extra English lessons every week during the first year then 2 extra lessons of vocational subjects taught in English during the last two years-

Since September 2007 thanks to our Leonardo funded project, we have been able to send 12 of our students to Bristol on a four-week training period each year. 6 of them are Sales students and the other 6 study Administration.

shop The selected students are chosen from the volunteers belonging to the European class. It goes without saying that they are dedicated and look forward to an experience abroad.
